PRE-PRODUCTION PAPERWORK

Why is it important to use, include and create Pre-production paperwork?

It is important to include and create Pre-production paperwork as it provides an insight into how my media idea was created and how I required certain elements of the product to perform a successful idea. There are three planning methods in which are ideal to have when in the process of planning a structure to follow. Firstly there is the Location recce form in which concludes where the basis of your photographs take place and why they will take place here, It is important to include this within my pre-production paperwork as it helped bind the product to my chosen music genre and how it links in with the target audience in which I am expected to appeal towards. Secondly, there is the Risk assessment form this is to make sure that at all times within the making of my media product that everyone involved is within the safety zone that allows them to avoid risks and injuries when participating within the making of the product. The risk assessment is completed using severity scales on whether or not certain risks are prioritized within this formation of work, and to make sure this risk assessment is appropriated it requires the consent of the people involved. Lastly we are allocated to complete an Mise en scene/ prop list for our photo-shoot, this is important within the planning process as it allows us to be fully prepared to begin the photography process and to complete these in a high standard formation.  The overall planning of this production process has allowed me to be punctual when creating the plan of my media product, and the completion of the planning methods has allowed me to have a good idea of how to start the procedure.
